The tentative schedule is here!
The Magi of the ancient story were members of a priestly class, and are believed to have traveled from ancient Persia, so now we travel there to celebrate this time of the year.
“While turmoil exists all around, in Samarkand it is peaceful and beautiful. Timurid, who loves all forms of art has spared his enemies who have special artistic abilities, architects, artist and masons. His gardens are legendary, with waterfalls and all manner of flowers.
Join the ambassador of Henry III of Castile , Ruy Gonzalez de Clavijo, as he enjoys all this capital has to offer as ambassadors, nobility and their retainers from all over the world converge for discussions and delights. As the celebrations unfold, entertainment abounds. Persia at its best!
Imagine yourself in this exotic land, with its beauty amplified by the smell of exotic spices in the air as you spend time with old friends and make some new ones too.
Bring your Persian rugs and pillows to relax upon, as you enjoy the mysteries of old Persia; watch the paykubi (Persian dance), Listen to dastgāh (Persian music), and hear the Persian stories – Scheherazade’s 1001 Tales will be featured.
